Excellent work. I know of the Borderers mainly through George MacDonald Fraser and Dorothy Dunnette - and the latter sets her stuff a full generation before this, but to me this rings very true, and the use of witchcraft amidst the fighting works extremely well. I love all the familiar names and the "feel" of teh beautiful Border country.
