Hot Needle of Inquiry has landed on Dreamwidth

Well, I have arrived on Dreamwidth, just to make sure that I don't get left behind on a dying planet, although I have to say I'm not impressed.

I hate the Dreamwidth terminology - all that 'subscribe' and 'grant access to' stuff seems very complicated, cold, and impersonal. The schemes available at the moment are horrid.

Maybe it will improve later.

Dreamwidth

I've followed the herd and created a Dreamwidth account - a paid one, as the invite code that they claimed those who created OpenID accounts there would receive never turned up.

I am speaker_to_customers there - that should be easier for people to spell.

I have to say that so far I loathe and detest all those features of DW that differ from LJ - the available schemes are hideous and the terminology sucks. I'm only there because I dread everyone else going and leaving me behind.

My OpenID account there will, of course, be abandoned - it wasn't possible to convert it to a DW account.
