What a brilliant meme! And you've written Joyce/Olaf??? Where? When? I never knew it before, but that is something I *have*to read. And BuffyBot/Immortal... fantastic. I really want someone to write that now! *pines*

Oh, and I got my husband to read your Submarine drabble the other day, and he liked it! I might get him to come round on the fanfic front, one drabble at a time! :)

You mean you haven't read my Jolaf story Merry Sport (http://www.speaker-to-customers.me.uk/buffyverse/ms1.htm)?

I'd like [livejournal.com profile] keswindhover to do BuffyBot/Immortal. I've always pictured the Immortal as rather self-important, a believer in his own publicity, and Kes' relentlessly cheerful and clueless Botty would be a perfect way of deflating him.

Good luck with the husband converting.

Well, I rather like smut, it was just the pairing... but slash is much, much worse!

Heh. My husband's only just gotten over the urge to run screaming in the other direction when I mention slash fiction to him.

Me too, to some extent - although I've written it! I'll write almost anything if I can make it funny.

I can tolerate m/m slash from a very few great writers, although I skip over the actual slashy bits, but there is only one m/m slash story that I actively like - "Cornpone and the Bloodsuckers", by [livejournal.com profile] alwayslbj and Mefiant, a Riley/Xander/Harmony story of such sublime silliness that it had me almost weeping with laughter at some points.

Sometime in the next ten days or so, I'll be posting about a dozen Spike/Cordelia stories. I have a feeling you'll be reading and enjoying the stories as much as I.

Great! It's a very rare pairing; it's not even listed as an option at "All About Spike". And yet surely a pairing of the King and Queen of Snark has a lot to offer. There was definite sparkage in "In The Dark"; yet hardly anyone has taken it up.

Off the top of my head the only Spike/Cordy story I can come up with is [livejournal.com profile] waywardchilde's "To Be Loved" - and there's only one chapter of that so far.

One of the sites I send my CSI stories to wants me to write a Spike story. Yesterday I suggested one in which CSI finally arrest him for the murder of Nikki Wood and everyone else he's killed over the last few decades.

For some reason they've gone very quiet...

He's got an alibi for that one. Unless the whole vampire thing becomes accepted knowledge then he's obviously too young to have been the punk killer in 1977. If we allow for James Marsters being too old in reality for the apparent age of William the Bloody Awful Poet at the time that he was turned then the age discrepancy is even greater; he'd have been a toddler in 1977 to all appearances.

They could have pinned at least a dozen murders in Sunnydale since 1998 on him with little difficulty; except for the inconvenient disappearance of all the forensic evidence into an enormous crater.

Does the USA have an extradition treaty with the Czech Republic?

Without giving too much away, the last story begins post NFA, with public knowledge of the supernatural. It's difficult to ignore a dragon and a demon army trashing LA.

Well I wouldn't mind taht story, as a Spike fan. At least, if Spike gets off for the same reason that Angel would, namely the fact that he can't be held responsible for anything he did while unsouled since he wasn't morally capable at the time of the crime.
(if he doesn't, then you really have to start writing the trial of Angel as well, cause he's killed a whole lot more people than Spike did.)

Personally, I like your stories, esp. the CSI crossovers, I think there's too much Willow in them and the potentials/slayers are way too selfinvolved, complimenting themselves and Willow for saving the world, while it was Spike who closed the Hellmouth and saved all their butts, but hey, they were foolish children, guided by even more foolish adults (the scoobies) so I can blame their idiocy for that one.

Either way, if you do write a story like that, also make a sequel with Willow finally paying her debt to society for the murder of Rack, Warren Meyers and who knows who else that got in her way.
Not to mention her attempt to destroy the world.
(sorry, Willow despiser here*eg*)

Oh, I agree entirely. Willow gets away with murder - two or three times. Between them Spike and Angel kill hundreds. I think Buffy is about the only BtVS character with no innocent blood on her hands (always assuming that none of the demons she killed were good guys, of course).

And Andrew says that without even knowing about the collateral damage from Xander's summoning of Sweet.

Yeah, Buffy does have a thing as a domestic abuser though.
Beating up Spike, raping him in Gone.
I'm a Buffy fan, but the one thing that was hardest for me in regards to her character is that they never tried to redeem her for her abuse of Spike in S6.
He might not have been innocent, but she did have his blood on her hands.

I think the writers believed that her actions in S7 redeemed her in that respect. An on-screen apology would have been better, but I can live without it. If they'd attempted it they'd probably have messed up the writing and had it come over as boring.

The cop shows I'd crossover Spike with are probably in the wrong decade and the wrong country for you.

The Professionals, The Sweeney, and Dixon of Dock Green.

And if I start any new projects before I've finished the WIPs [livejournal.com profile] curiouswombat will kill me anyway.

Well, Spike could always travel ;-)

I prefer it with American copshows, true, but well...
A few months ago, I even offered to pay two months of paid lj time for anyone willing to write me a crossover with Spike as the main character. That offer still stands.
Hinting heavily here...

(I just love crossovers, unfortunately, most of the Buffy or Angel ones have Xander or Dawn as main char. And since my liking for Xander has diminished a lot since S6, that just ain't enough for me. I would love for anyone to write me a Spike crossover. That means Spike as a main char, not just a cameo, or a one chapter showing.

Did I mention the paid lj-time?

Can it be any fandom? I was sitting on a Bahey Dhone/Noggin the Nog crossover plot bunny and I could easily substitute Spike for Bahey. I've also got ideas for Spike/Bagpuss, Spike/The Magic Roundabout, and Spike/Bambi.

Although I'd have have difficulty stretching that last one out to 1,000 words; it basically goes ::grab - scuffle - slurp - "Sodding hell, that was delicious"::

NP The Buffy part of it I could handle. but The L&O would be hard. I've seen a lot but I don't know if I can't remember what cops go with what lawyers ect. it's one of the shows I enjoy but don't absorb in the way I do others. That and I've watched it mostly in repeats out of order.

These are my favourite Spike/Cordelia stories. I don't know if all these links are still active.

'Fumbling on', by Larilyn.
'Least obeisance', by WesleysGirl.
'Lovely, dark and deep', by hold_that_thought.
'Revert to type', and 'Time bomb', by Rabbit. (Heed the warnings for the second one.)
'The girl who isn't there', by Lesley.

Thanks for the links. Most of them are Spike/Cordelia friendship: not that I've got any objection to that, I write it a lot, but it wasn't what I was thinking of. Only "Fumbling on" and "Revert to Type" are true S/C.

Well, I fell from grace with the whole hearted dive into slash long, long ago, but I'm entirely with you on the Giles/Dawn thing. Some things are just beyond evil.

And Mr. Space, otherwise known as my SU, has been sucked into reading fanfic with "The Attack of the 50 Foot Willow". This is at least partially amusing because everyone else in the house writes the stuff- Sam ST/SW, Anna HP, and me that great lumbering Aus/Dr on a ship...

Julia, if the dogs start writing Milo and Otis fic I'm going to worry

April (holding Spike above her head): That would be wrong! You are not my boyfriend. (lowers Spike slightly) Although, I have been searching for Warrend for a very long time and I cannot find him. That does sound interesting and a girl has to have a boyfriend. (puts Spike all the way down)

Spike: Bleedin' hell, you're a strong bint! Are you that muscular internally as well?

April: My internal systems are based on a twin processor motherboard.

Spike: Oh, I get it. (turns his head and leers at Buffy, then turns back to April) Fascinating! Tell us more, love. Preferably over a drink and in the vicinity of a bed. Then maybe I can put a bit more RAM inside you.

I wrote an S6 / Men in Black story that for a while had April wandering around with a mixture of April and Buffybot programming, so that her goal was to find Warren and play various Spike-style games with him. Trouble was that what Spike likes and what Warren can survive aren't necessarily the same thing...
