Birthday greetings and a little bit of self-pity

Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] globalfruitbat and to [livejournal.com profile] darkestarx

I hate ‘Rhyming Review Day’ at ‘Twisting the Hellmouth’. Getting a bad review is so much worse when someone has gone to the trouble of writing it as an epic poem with 9 verses detailing the shortcomings of my portrayal of each of the characters.

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery by not eating...

I don't normally go in for publicly mocking badfic - it's cruel and usually non-productive - but this example, found when browsing TtH for stories in the 'Dungeons and Dragons' crossover category, contains one error (among many) that I just couldn't resist. It hasn't been updated since Feb 2005 and so I expect that the author has left the fandom anyway.

From a story in which Faith goes to a hybrid LotR/D&D world;

It was a wolf, but a thin, emancipated one – yet it was by no means sickly, as one look at its’ livid green eyes could tell you.
