Kallysten's drabble challenge again

kallysten's 2005 Drabble Challenge. Crossposted there; comments, if any, here. 100 words. Rating G. S2, ensemble piece.
“Ethan has an old grudge against me,” Giles explained. “We were both rebels at University, and we joined the Dungeons and Dragons club together.”
“Wow, serious rebellion there, Giles,” Willow grinned.
“You played D & D? Was that with the three original booklets, or Advanced?” Xander asked.
“The original with the Greyhawk supplement. But that’s not important right now. I was a Paladin, and Ethan played as a tenth level Chaotic Evil Wizard.”
“Sounds pretty much in character,” Buffy remarked.
“Indeed. And, inevitably, I slew him. Now he wants his revenge.”
“I do,” Ethan said menacingly. “Go for your dice.”
Now I've got to rush off to work - until 10 pm, so not much of a New Year celebration for me. Could be worse, they had asked me to work 10 pm to 8 am to cover for someone who is ill, but she seems to be okay now.
