Really getting into this story. Love the fact that William is provoking such protective instincts in both Angel and Illyria. While I wouldn't argue that Angel's response is the only one that he would engage in, his reasoning is certainly valid and explores an aspect of his character that is too often ignored in fanfiction. He is protective of those whom he considers 'his' and William certainly falls into that category.
Although what might happen should Dru appear would be interesting.
William and Illyria finding points of connection over video games is very nice.
Out of sheer curiosity, did you ever consider having Harmony being one of the 'booth babes', she would certainly fill the role, and the t-shirt, very nicely.
Andrew's appearance was very nicely handled. He certainly could be the one sent by the Council to investigate the fall of the LA branch of Wolfram and Hart and he wouldn't be above mixing business with pleasure. The thing is is that Illyria is very correct in calling him a 'betrayer'. It's consistent with his canonical history and his discovery of William's rebirth could be a threat to him.
It's amazing what you can do in 1,880 words.
And because no good deed should go unpunished, here's another 'Bogart Drabble' back at you.

He thought he had understood it back then. Back when it had all happened
It had been truly epic, with all the needed elements. A doomed love, passionate sex, a death pact and really bad poetry.
He thought he had known everything about love decades before he had seen them, and then learned that he knew nothing.
He went to the air grate and took a sniff. Yes, he was still there. Thirty years of maintenance hadn't diminished his presence for those who could sense him. Perhaps it would have ended the story if his crazed bint of a mother had actually strewn his ashes over the girl's grave, but this implication of eternal longing, separation and searching made what was left of the poet in him sing.
Spike opened his flask, raised it to his lips and offered a toast.
"Here's looking at you, Sid."
I admit that this one is not only really bad but also obscure on some of the details. If any innocent victims want in on the meaning go to the Sid Viscous entry at Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
