At last here is the conclusion of “The Hounds of Love”. This tale grew in the telling, as they say, and it’s much longer and later than I had expected. The whole story is 25,575 words instead of the 10-15,000 that I had planned. Again, sorry about not replying to recent comments; I'll get on with that now that I've got this story completed.

This final part is 7, 440 words, rating PG13-ish, beginning during an alternative ‘Becoming Part 2’.

Here’s the fifth part of “The Hounds of Love”. I’ve miscalculated; this section turned out to be twice as long as I thought it would be when I put together the outline, and so this isn’t going to be the conclusion after all. Here’s the fourth part of the Season 2 fic that I’m writing for Spike month at 12monthsofbtvs. 3,790 words, rating PG13-ish, taking the story through ‘Go Fish’ and ‘Becoming Part 1’. There is no way that I’m going to get the final chapter complete in time for the 20th November deadline, despite my best efforts; I’m going to put these four chapters up tomorrow and the final chapter on – probably – the 23rd, and I’m hoping that they’ll accept that.

Here’s the third part of the Season 2 fic that I’m writing for Spike month at 12monthsofbtvs. 3,230 words, rating PG13-ish, taking the story through ‘Killed By Death’ and ‘I Only Have Eyes For You’. Two more chapters to go, and so it’s going to be a struggle getting it done in time for the 20th November deadline; I’ve lost a lot of writing time through computer problems over the past couple of days, but my spare computer is fully operational now and I’m going to stay up and write for the rest of the night. Here’s the second part of my Season 2 fic that I’m writing for Spike month at 12monthsofbtvs. This part is 3,900 words, rating PG13-ish, set around the end of ‘Passions’. It looks as if the story might not be as short as I’d first estimated, I don’t think it will come in under 10,000 words after all – probably more like 15,000 – but I’m still determined to finish it before 20th November.

These days off have not been productive on the writing front. I’ve felt out of sorts, my sleep patterns have been shot to hell, and I just haven’t felt cheerful enough to work on my overtly comic WIPs or energetic enough to work on the long stories. What I have done is start a new fic. It’s going to be my Spike story for November at 12monthsofbtvs and should be around the 10,000 words mark in total. I’m not going to put it up on the community until it’s finished but I’m going to post the first part here now because otherwise there will be a long gap without anything from me. The final version should be three parts long.

It could be described as a songfic, it’s Season 2 of BtVS, and it’s going to be Spuffy. The rating is PG-13 so far, but I’m not sure what the final rating will be. This installment is 3,175 words and takes place during “Passions”.

Summary: after an act of petty vindictiveness by Angelus deprives wheelchair-bound Spike of his normal music he listens to a Kate Bush album, and in so doing he triggers a chain of events that alters everything …
