More Dojo Hard
Sep. 13th, 2005 09:06 pmI took Shaka to the vet; she gave him an injection of painkillers and anti-inflamatories, said that he should rest and that he had to be kept from doing any jumping down from things for a day, and that he should recover soon. Unfortunately Shaka likes nothing more than to get up to the highest possible point and then jump down from it, we have nowhere we can keep him that doesn't have high places, and so I've been following him round and lifting him down from everywhere and carrying him to where he wants to go next. He has caught on to this so well that he has hardly done any walking at all since then, he just mews to summon me, and I'm not sure how recovered he is. Not completely, I think, but he is on the road to recovery. And I'm carrying him along it.
On the writing front; I'm working on the last chapter of "Angel of the Morning", struggling with it a little because it contains lots of sexual content and that doesn't come as naturally to me as it does to
curiouswombat. Even so I should have it finished pretty soon.
I've also returned to "Life in Shadow" and have made a start on the next chapter of that long-dormant work.
Niether of those is ready to post yet, but here is another little piece of "all the characters are ninjas in 17th-Century Japan" lunacy to follow on from Dojo Hard. 600 words this time.
