Drabble: It's a bird, it's a plane

speaker_to_customersSpamming today; this is my second post. Earlier today I put up a second Ats/A-Team crossover drabble; now here is a drabble set in the Tabula Avatar universe. 100 words, G, Spike & Dawn friendship.
The giant bird attacked when Spike and Dawn were scouting ahead of the party. No spells from Willow or songs from Giles to back them up. It was a formidable opponent. Its talons could carry off an elephant and the huge raptor beak could easily decapitate a vampire.
Eventually Dawn’s crossbow bolts pierced an eye and Spike finished off the wounded creature.
Dawn shouldered her crossbow. “What is it? Some kinda eagle?”
Spike grinned at her. “Never did learn your history, Nibblet. It's a big roc. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a roc this big.”
