Really like this story; I honestly think it's one of best the fictional Xander's I seen to date. I have a love-hate relationship with Xander; I loved him early on, but he grew bitter, and I had a hard time with the way he treated both Spike and especially Anya in season 6.
I think the character has a good heart though; and that really showed through in this story. That's one of the things I love most about the Buffy-verse; characters are so multi-dimensional. People have flaws, but can rise above them.
As I've said before; I think that the writers sort of ran out of storyline for Xander in the series, and it's a shame. I would have loved to see the Xander we all knew (or at least, that some of us knew!) was potentially there grow up and emerge. I guess that's what fic is for though; and thanks for writing it!
You know I adore your Spike fics; I'm sure I'll be delighted to see whatever you write next. I hope you'll write Xander again though; you write him with such grace and understanding. Even people who don't normally care for Xander are enjoying this story!
