I threatened [livejournal.com profile] bogwitch with Bible fanfic, but I couldn't do it. The Old Testament is, frankly, much too silly for parody. So I stayed in the Middle East but turned to "The Mummy". A seasonal story, 100 words, rating PG-13.

I've done another entry in [livejournal.com profile] kallysten's 2005 Drabble Challenge. Crossposted there; comments, if any, here. 100 words, Spike/Buffy, during "Chosen", rating PG-13 for mild language, character death. As usual I diverge slightly from canon.

Showing off my new pretties:

I've just had a (very rare) actual social occasion; [livejournal.com profile] magic_wanderer and [livejournal.com profile] handrejka came round for a meal with [livejournal.com profile] curiouswombat, Katherine, and I. We watched the Live Aid DVD that Katherine gave me for Xmas, and we played Scattergories; Katherine came up with perhaps the most remarkable answer ever. Subject "Bad Habit", letter "C"; answer "Conspicuous Consumption of Copious quantities of Civet-Cat Crap Coffee" (7 points). Take that, you Cambridge Scholars!
