Summary: AU from some point during Tabula Rasa, when the crystal doesn’t get broken and something else happens to it instead. Events bearing some similarities to those in kallysten and kantayra’s excellent story Tabula Rasa Ad Aeternum took place off-screen during the earlier chapters of this story.

At last some fic - Tabula Avatar Chapter Thirty-seven (Part One)

I’ve been away from LiveJournal and fic for a long time, bar the occasional birthday message (and I’ve missed a lot of birthdays). I have looked at LiveJournal sometimes, but not regularly, and some days I haven’t even opened my e-mail. But at last I have something to post, and I’ll make a start on catching up on my reading soon. Manxnet’s problems with LiveJournal at weekends still isn’t sorted, as I found out when I went to make a start tonight, and so it will probably be Monday before I can really do much reading (or as much as I can do on a work day).

I had hoped to have a chapter of ‘Tabula Avatar’ finished before tonight, when I go back to work, but it hasn’t worked out that way. In fact I had planned on posting chapters of at least three stories over the past two weeks but I failed in that objective so abjectly that it’s laughable. Consequently I have decided to post the first half of the ‘Tabula Avatar’ chapter now, just to prove that I actually have been doing something constructive, and to add the second half when it’s completed. This section is 3,600 words, rating R.
