The drabble I'd meant to post tonight hasn't worked out yet; it's a crossover with a fandom that I'm not all that up on, and I have to do a bit of reading to get in the right frame of mind. I've got far more important things to do so I've given up on that for the time being.

Pimping; elsaf has done a superb Christmas story The Three Kings, it really is extremely good. pfeifferpack has a fun Spuffy crossover with Norse mythology, Norse by Norsewest, and waywardchilde's Spike/Cordy story To Be Loved looks very promising so far. Someone new to me, airawyn, has come up with a unique revamp of Season 6, centred on Xander in a plausible heroic role, The Quartet, and it is shaping up to be quite outstanding.


Looking for a volunteer: I'd like someone to take a look at the opening scenes to my 1014 AD Slayer story for me and just tell me if they work. curiouswombat likes them, but she's Manx. I need to know if they make sense to someone from outside that culture.

And now the reason for the dance of happiness - I've had some unsolicited feedback on a Roxyverse story! From someone I don't even know! And it was positive! Numfar, scrap the dance of happiness - upgrade to the dance of multiple orgasms!

Yes, it's good and believable and plays to Xander's strengths. I've read plenty of stories in which Xander is the hero because he has secret powers, or the Soldier memories from Halloween have stuck and made him into some kind of super Commando guy, but they were all frankly ludicrous. This one is in a completely different league.

I notice that you haven't Friended anyone at all in LiveJournal yet, all your Friends are Communities, so I'll tell you how to do that. From the person in question's LJ page click on "user info" or on the little head-and-shoulders icon beside their name. That will take you to their Profile page. Near the top are some pictorial icons, and one of those is a head-and-shoulders with a red + sign on it. Click on that and follow the simple instructions from there. Why not start with me and appomattoxco?
