Really Rabbit Hole Day makes little difference to me

My posts are already weird enough, I can't really go much further. Here's another totally stupid 100-word drabble.

The Naked and Undead

“Is Angel around?” Nina asked.

“Sorry, Nina, he’s still out shooting that ‘White Flag’ video with Dido,” Harmony replied, fidgeting nervously with a unicorn statuette.

“He’s getting obsessed with his celebrity status,” Nina moaned, then noticed that Harmony was ill at ease. “Something I should know, Harmony?”


“Oh, well, I guess you gotta find out sooner or later,” Harmony answered reluctantly, sliding a copy of Playgirl across to the other girl and flipping it open.

Nina looked down at the pictures and spoke angrily as her blood ran cold. “My memory has just been sold. My Angel is a centrefold.”

"Rabbit Hole Day" was suggested by crisper and disseminated through the whole of LiveJournal. January 27 is the birthday of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson alias Lewis Carrol, author of "Alice In Wonderland" & "Alice Through The Looking Glass", and the idea was to commemorate this with a day of insane, Looking-Glass-World posts.

Of course most of my posts are pretty weird anyway so it hasn't been all that noticeable on my LJ.

In all my Buffyverse stories that don't go too far AU before that point, and in the Roxyverse, it is indeed Angel, CEO of Wolfram & Hart Los Angeles, who appears in the video with Dido.

And David Boreanz never made it as an actor and now lives in an alley eating rats.

I remember the original MTV video of this song from way back when (Jay Giles' Band, I think it was). Now I see Angel sashaying around in my mind. He doesn't do the lip pursing thing nearly as well, I must say.

The line "my blood runs cold" does seem particularly appropriate to Angel, of course. And "my memory has just been sold" could refer to the mind-wipe spell.
