Well I wouldn't mind taht story, as a Spike fan. At least, if Spike gets off for the same reason that Angel would, namely the fact that he can't be held responsible for anything he did while unsouled since he wasn't morally capable at the time of the crime. (if he doesn't, then you really have to start writing the trial of Angel as well, cause he's killed a whole lot more people than Spike did.)
Personally, I like your stories, esp. the CSI crossovers, I think there's too much Willow in them and the potentials/slayers are way too selfinvolved, complimenting themselves and Willow for saving the world, while it was Spike who closed the Hellmouth and saved all their butts, but hey, they were foolish children, guided by even more foolish adults (the scoobies) so I can blame their idiocy for that one.
Either way, if you do write a story like that, also make a sequel with Willow finally paying her debt to society for the murder of Rack, Warren Meyers and who knows who else that got in her way. Not to mention her attempt to destroy the world. (sorry, Willow despiser here*eg*)
