speaker_to_customersNot sure if I’ll get the next chapter of ‘Tabula Avatar’ up tonight or not. It’s nearly finished, but I haven’t come up with a good closing section yet.
In the meantime, and continuing my tradition of stupid drabbles, here is a Season 7 BtVS drabble inspired by one of the comments to my last one. 100 words, PG.
“I’ve discovered that the First Evil has a vulnerability,” Giles announced. “It is susceptible to the frequencies in a certain human vocal sound.”
“What sound?” Willow asked. “If it’s singing opera, count me out.”
“Not singing. Actually, it’s the groans that people make on hearing a particularly bad joke. Xander will be our prime weapon.”
Xander’s jokes were not sufficiently awful, alas, and the First was weakened but not destroyed.
“We’ll have to regroup and come back with reinforcements,” Giles declared.
“Perhaps I can help,” volunteered Potential Slayer Ailsa MacLeod from the Isle of Skye. “I have a punning clan.”
