Thanks to
theohara for the personalised LIS icon.
Had to assemble bathroom shelves today so haven't got a lot of writing done, just about to settle down to some intense writing but first this meme. Gakked from lots of people, but
kantayra is where I saw it first:
1. What is/are your favorite(s) one-off fic by me?
2. What is/are your favorite(s) series by me?
3. What is/are your favorite(s) pairings that I write?
4. What is/are the pairing(s) you wish I'd try writing some time that I've never attempted?
5. What is/are the pairing(s) I've written that you wish I'd write more often?
6. What do you like about my writing?
7. What do you not like about my writing?
8. What was the first fic by me that you read?
9. What original character (if any) from me have you enjoyed the most?
10 Would you ever consider reading anything original if I tried writing it? (or, in my specific case, would anyone be interested in reading the Roxyverse stories?)

3. Riley/Harmony
4. Well, I know you don't do the slash, so...I can't remember if I've read anything with Drusilla in it. I'd love to see a nice sweet surprising relationship for Drusilla.
5. Riley/Harmony
6. It's funny, and sweet.
7. It's sometimes a little surprising when Buffy sounds English, but that's minor.
8. I Was Made for Loving You Baby
9. The walrus
10. I'm sure I will, when time allows.

Date: 2004-10-26 08:12 pm (UTC)I find it incredibly hard to write Drusilla without slipping into caricature. I'd love to write a Drusilla/Giles one day if I can get her right.
5. Riley/Harmony
More? I seem to have those two jumping into bed with each other on every possible occasion (and some impossible) anyway. I'll see what I can do.
7. It's sometimes a little surprising when Buffy sounds English, but that's minor.
I must confess I find Buffy's "voice" harder to get hold of than any of the others. SMG has a very distinctive voice, but her vocal mannerisms themselves don't stand out all that much to me, and I may sometimes slip into writing her as my daughter & her schoolfriends, who all speak MTV-ese heavily studded with Buffyverse slang but who are, of course, really Manx or English.
9. The walrus
And yet he only has one line! “Ublarpaluk.” Which, although no-one has picked it up, is Inuit for "Dawn".
Thanks for responding.

3. You write good Spuffybot!
4. Spike/Dawn!
5. Spuffybot!
6. I think you have a good handle on story telling. I love story telling
7. Lackof updates on what I love, but then again, I suck in the same area
8. I Was Made For Loving You
9. Bot. I know she's not technically an original character, but you write her as one
10. Sure.

Date: 2004-10-27 04:15 am (UTC)Sorry, no way am I ever going to write Spike/Dawn as anything but friendship.

5. What is/are the pairing(s) I've written that you wish I'd write more often? Anya/Giles
6. What do you like about my writing? I like the wry sense of humor you sometimes use, the way you make me feel for the underdog, the way you question vampire moralities.
7. What do you not like about my writing? I can't think of anything
8. What was the first fic by me that you read? It's got to be perfect
9. What original character (if any) from me have you enjoyed the most? Tarantula was fun

Date: 2004-10-27 04:27 am (UTC)I might have a go at Faith/Spike eventually, but not in the foreseeable future.
Anya/Giles crops up in my Roxyverse stories, starting with "Tales of Brave Ulysses", but is fairly much in the background and not gone into in detail. More Anya/Giles coming in the BuffyBot stories as soon as I've written the "Life In Shadow" plot bunny out of my system for a while.
Does Tarantula count as an original character? She's canon, she even has a couple of on-screen lines.

Date: 2004-10-27 02:05 pm (UTC)2. Probably Pandora's Boxer, but I really like them all.
3. Well, Spike/Buffy, obviously, but I'm loving the new Spara fic.
4. I'll leave that up to you, since you do such a good job at it. :)
5. See #4.
6. Love your action scenes, and the way you portray Spike. Also like the way you make me like characters I don't normally have a lot of sympathy for.
7. More updates would be nice, but that's about my only complaint. At least you finish your stories. :)
8. Pandora's Boxer, and then I swiftly went through the others.
9. Huh. I know it's not original, but I loved your portrayal of Olaf in "Merry Sport."
10. Yes, and I want to read the Roxyverse. It's just that I have so very little time right now. It's on my list for winter break, however.

Date: 2004-10-28 02:48 am (UTC)Pyromania (Your Spike/Harmony was wonderful... and I love the nickname "Fireball")
2. What is/are your favorite(s) series by me?
It's Got to be Perfect
I was made for loving you baby (Violet Elizabeth Bott is adorable.)
Pandora's Boxer
3. What is/are your favorite(s) pairings that I write?
Spike/Buffy, Spike/Harmony, Riley/Harmony (I normally hate Riley, but the Riley you write is someone I respect), and the latest... Spike/Tara
4. What is/are the pairing(s) you wish I'd try writing some time that I've never attempted?
Spike/Fred, and Spike/Cordy (there's a drought of Spike/Cordy fics in the world... *sigh*)
5. What is/are the pairing(s) I've written that you wish I'd write more often?
Spike/Harmony (they are just too adorable, you know? If Spike had actually fallen for her, they'd be like those cute-sy types of couples *grins*)
Spike/Tara (I know you've just started a WIP, but hey, I'd still like it if you wrote more Spara after that.)
6. What do you like about my writing?
None of your stories are stereotype. Everything is usually unpredictable, and reading your stories is like looking at BtVS from a wholly different angle, so that there's always something new to see and realize about the characters.
7. What do you not like about my writing?
I don't find anything not to like.
8. What was the first fic by me that you read?
It's Got to be Perfect
9. What original character (if any) from me have you enjoyed the most?
The walrus... ;)
10. Would you ever consider reading anything original if I tried writing it? (or, in my specific case, would anyone be interested in reading the Roxyverse stories?)
I will, one of these days. :)

Date: 2004-10-28 04:01 am (UTC)I doubt if I'll ever do Spike/Fred; Willow/Fred, or Spike/Illyria, maybe. But Spike/Cordy could indeed loom. The sparkage between them in "In The Dark" has had me on the verge of writing Spike/Cordy before, but I need a plot bunny to strike and give me a setting. And right now I'm shooting plot bunnies on sight.
The Walrus will be back in "Strawberry Fields Forever", but it might be a long time before I get that one done.
