BTW, how on earth do you know other people's birthdays? Do you check all of your friends pages, or does LJ email them to you? I've never figured that part out.

The option for LJ to e-mail Friends birthdays doesn't work, and there is no way I'm going to check all my Friends' pages; but there is a special page that shows the birthdays for F-lists.
