I was reading The Guardian online and saw an article about the new advert for BIC For Her pens and if it is misogynist and sexist. The article itself turned out not to be interesting but one of the comments pointed to the Amazon page for the pens and the customer reviews.

This made me laugh and laugh. First at BIC's ridiculous product and then with all the clever posts like this:

A: No dear, these pens are meant for people who still have something to give. You should get a nice, safe, blue pen, or knitting.

I hope you will be buying some for your dear lady wife! From the reviews left by gentlemen who have bought this pen for their other half, it would seem that having a truly feminine pen has done wonders for their wives' writing ability. Knowing how marvellously your wife writes already, surely with a BiC 'For Her' pen she could be the new Shakespeare!!!

I am, as usual, so behind in reading LJ, so I'm just seeing this. I followed the link and it says "Only 9 left in stock (more on the way)". I wouldn't have thought enough people would've ordered BiC for Her to make replenishing necessary. Ever! The whole page is hilarious.
